Please read the following information carefully about what is expected from you and your dive group before accepting these terms and conditions and paying your deposit.

Course Booking

A provisional booking can be made via this web form, phone, or email. This provisional booking is valid for two working days, during which you shall pay the full course fee unless agreed otherwise with us.

Drop outs & Cancellations

If you wish to cancel your course booking, a refund may be provided (less the cost of training materials & a 10% admin fee) if you provide In Deep with a minimum of 8 weeks written notice to info@indeep.co.uk. Please make sure you receive a written response to your email to confirm delivery & receipt of your written cancellation.

Weather

Our staff members & skippers are very familiar with local conditions & dive sites. Occasionally it may be the case that conditions dictates that we are unable to fulfil the course at sea; ultimately this is the decision of In Deep. In these instances where conditions do not allow us to conduct training in the sea we may go to an inland site – please note this may incur additional charges. The decision to move the course to an inland site will be made the during the week before the course start date to allow us to access the most up-to-date information & make the correct decision.

Other reasons for cancellation

Should In Deep not be able to fulfil your course due to unforeseen circumstances other than weather, such as but not limited to; flooding, drought, war, pandemic, engine failure, fire and/or zombie apocalypse. Alternative dates will be offered subject to availability. If alternative dates cannot be arranged a refund of the course cost less the training materials and an administration fee of 10% will be offered.

Qualifications & Dive history

All students must be certified and have the appropriate prerequisite qualifications to complete the proposed diving course. In Deep require a photocopy of each person’s highest or most appropriate dive certification/qualification. In Deep will be unable to provide any training for any person that is not able to provide written confirmation of appropriate dive qualifications & will NOT refund any course fees on this basis. Please note this does not apply to those completing entry-level qualifications.

Ability to dive

Please be aware it is the responsibility of each individual diver to ensure that they are adequately prepared to dive please see the recommend guidelines below:

Medical Fitness: You will have already received and completed a medical questionnaire prior receiving this form. If you believe your medical fitness has changed since completing this or if you do not remember ever having completed a medical, you should consult your RAID account to make any necessary alterations and notify In Deep of any changes. In Deep cannot be held liable for any injury/issues that result from undisclosed medical issues. If the medical declaration form has not been completed on the RAID website prior to the course start date, we will be unable to proceed with the course.

Inability to complete courses: If for any reason you are unable to satisfactorily meet the required course standards within the time allocated for the course, additional training will be offered at a cost of £150/per day on dates offered subject to availability.

Equipment: In Deep will always aim to provide appropriately sized equipment to course participants, occasionally however we are unable to exactly match every body type.

Personal Equipment: If you choose to use your own dive equipment during training, you are responsible for ensuring that it is safe, fully serviced, and in proper working condition.

Dive Vessels

All dive vessels have a strict no smoking policy. On-board our vessels you must always have dry suits fully donned & zipped in case of an overboard emergency as dry suits & wet suits are considered a personal floatation device while at sea.

You will always be provided with a full and concise safety briefing at the start of your boat charter. Please make sure you have understood and are able to adhere to the instructions given by our staff. If unsure, you must ask the skipper prior to departure about: location and use of life saving equipment with particular reference to the life raft, safety procedures, equipment stowage, where to sit during transit, entry and exit techniques from the vessel.
