Dive Charter Booking Form

Organiser Details

We need some information about you, the group organiser, who will be our primary contact for this booking.

Group Details

Please tell us about your group of divers you want to bring to us in Plymouth.

We appreciate that you may not have finalised the details of your group for bookings far ahead and will always work with you on accommodating changes as long as these are pro-actively communicated. We need at least your arrival date, number of diving days and expected group size to reserve you a space in our charter schedule.

Accommodation

To help us and our partners to reserve you the accommodation you would like, please provide us with any specific requirements you know at this stage of your booking. We ask you to provide at least your arrival and departure dates.

We will typically book twin and triple rooms. However, we can accommodate for double or single rooms subject to availability. If your requirements change at any time, please reach out to us via email.

Terms & Conditions

SCUBA Diving is a serious and technical sport, your safety is our highest priority. Therefore we have rigid systems and policies in place to enable us to provide you with safe diving charters.

Please read the following information carefully about what is expected from you and your dive group before accepting these terms and conditions and paying your deposit.

The group organiser (as specified on the booking form) is responsible for providing In Deep with the required paperwork & payment for the dive charter. The terms of the booking should be conveyed to all parties signing on to the trip.

Charter Booking

A provisional booking can be made via this web form, phone, or email. This provisional booking is valid for two working days, during which you shall pay the holding deposit of £100 per boat per day.

We will then require full payment of the final charter fee at least 6 weeks prior to the charter date. Charters are based on a maximum of 25 miles per day. We reserve the right to charge an excess for fuel for any longer distances.

We endeavour to always accommodate your special requests. We withhold the right to change your charter vessel or change accommodation to an equivalent alternative.

Drop outs & Cancellations

Group booking: your booking is based on a minimum of 8 divers (unless other arrangements are agreed upon at the time of booking. Our boats are licensed for 12 divers (dependant on vessel booked). We reserve the right to fill the boat at all times using any unused spaces.

Cancellations: if you wish to cancel your booking, a refund can be provided (less the holding deposit) if you give In Deep a minimum of 8 weeks written notice to info@indeep.co.uk. Please make sure you receive a written response to your email to confirm delivery & receipt of your written cancellation.

Weather

Our staff members & skippers are very familiar with local conditions & dive sites. In Deep will always aim to fulfil the charter where appropriate & reasonable, it is very often the case that we can offer alternative dive sites specifically appropriate to the wind, tide & weather conditions. We do not consider inability to reach your first choice dive site as grounds for cancellation of a charter. Occasionally it may be the case that weather dictates that we are unable to fulfil the charter, ultimately this is the decision of In Deep & not the group organiser. The decision to cancel the dive on grounds of weather will be made during the week before the booking to allow us to access the most up-to-date information & make the correct decision. If cancellation is appropriate under the grounds of weather or conditions, alternative dates will be offered subject to availability during 2025 or following years. If alternative dates cannot be arranged a refund of the charter cost less the holding deposit (to cover admin costs) & costs of £40 per person per day will be offered.

Other reasons for cancellation

Should In Deep not be able to fulfil your charter due to unforeseen circumstances other than weather, such as but not limited to; flooding, drought, war, pandemic, engine failure, fire, force majeure, or zombie apocalypse. Alternative dates will be offered subject to availability during 2025 or following years. If alternative dates cannot be arranged a refund of the charter cost less the holding deposit (to cover admin costs) as well as £40 per person per day shall be offered at the discretion of In Deep.

We recommend that if rescheduling your trip will not be at all possible, then the group should take out a holiday insurance policy.

Qualifications & Dive history

Every member of the dive charter party must be certified to complete the proposed diving. Any teaching/training occurring on In Deeps’ charter vessels during the charter must be approved by In Deep prior to arrival.

One week before your charter, In Deep require a photocopy of each person’s highest or most appropriate dive certification/qualification & each person must read & sign the dive boat safety brief document. In Deep will be unable to provide charter for any person not able to provide written confirmation of appropriate dive qualification & will not refund any charters on this basis.

Ability to dive

Please be aware it is the responsibility of each individual diver to ensure that they are adequately prepared to dive please see the recommend guidelines below:

Medical Fitness: You will have completed a medical during your diver training, if you believe your medical fitness has changed since completion of this or you do not remember ever completing a medical, a copy of the PADI Medical statement form is available from In Deep on request for your reference & guidance.

Diving Activity: PADI recommend that if a diver has not dived for 7 months or more they should partake is a SCUBA review with a diving professional prior to open water diving. Every diver should be prepared for diving in the sea and carry the necessary safety equipment required.

Dive Vessels

All dive vessels have a strict no smoking policy. On-board our vessels you must always have dry suits fully donned & zipped in case of an overboard emergency as dry suits & wet suits are considered a personal floatation device while at sea.

You will always be provided with a full and concise safety briefing at the start of your boat charter. Please make sure you have understood and are able to adhere to the instructions given by our staff. If unsure, you must ask the skipper prior to departure about: location and use of life saving equipment with particular reference to the life raft, safety procedures, equipment stowage, where to sit during transit, entry and exit techniques from the vessel.
